My name is Lauren Babic.
I'm a Canadian musician from Toronto, Canada. I sing, teach, write & record music.
Music has been in my blood for as long as I can remember. I grew up playing instruments like piano and trumpet. 20 years ago, if you told me I was going to grow up and be a singer, I would have probably laughed and said NO WAY! Singing sort of just...chose me. I was a teenager, angry, angsty, listening to bands like Underoath, My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, The Used...and I needed a way to yell at the world. I started playing in bands when I was 15 in a ska band. In freshman year of university, I took the plunge. The day I began singing in front of other people was the day I auditioned for my metal band, Red Handed Denial. I'm still making music with RHD to this day.
I have many musical outlets. It's a very deep rabbit hole -- over 200 released songs and counting. I sing in 2 bands: Red Handed Denial and CrazyEightyEight, and I have many solo endeavors -- cover songs, originals, and a vocals masterclass. So far on my musical adventures, I've recorded three studio albums, two EPs, and two singles with RHD + one studio album and three EPs with C88. As a solo artist, I've released a pop EP called Silence Is The Only Sound, three cover albums: Covers Vol. 1, 2, and 3. I've recently stepped into the video game realm -- I've written and sang an original song with Riot Games / League of Legends called "Zeri: The Spark of Zaun". I've also worked with Gearbox Software on the official premiere trailer song for Remnant 2 called "Dead Man Walking". I've had many other guest appearances (all of which you can find digitally on all major digital platforms). I'm also active on Youtube where I release a variety of musical content, something that at first I did for fun to practice vocal production and singing, but over time has turned into something much more than I could have ever imagined.
